KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Friday having 42324.94 points with a negative change of -86.86 and volume of 106,049,970 shares.

High and Low were 42505.70 and 42253.84 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 490,714,050 shares with 396total traded companies out of which 165 were up 218 were down and 13 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 88,311,800 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS. with a total traded volume of 75,651,400 shares.

The three top traded companies were Japan Power with a volume of 46,702,500 and price per share of 6.66 (0.14), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume 45,178,500 of price per share of 12.14 (0.51), Summit Bank with a volume 20,878,500 of price per share of 4.61 (0.09).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4112.37 (195.82), Philip Morris Pak. with price per share of 2016.00 (95.98) and Sanofi-Aventis share of 1736.70 (82.70).

The top three decliners were Colgate Palmolive.. with price per share of 1600.00 (-40.00), Indus Motor CoXD with price per share of 1516.07 (-23.38) and AL-Ghazi TractorsXD share of 621.01 (-21.61).
