RECORDER REPORT: PSX mid day update

KARACHI: On Friday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 42434.02 with a positive change of 22.22 and volume of 42,281,270 shares.

High and Low were 42505.70 and 42372.38 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 255,867,940 shares with 345 total traded companies out of which 181 were up, 147 were down and 17 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 39,609,400 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 35,010,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume of 33,082,000 and price per share of 12.45 (0.82), Japan Power. with a volume 28,250,500 of price per share of 7.18 (0.66), Summit Bank with a volume 11,434,000 of price per share of 4.67 (0.15).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4112.37 (195.82), Sanofi-Aventis. with price per share of 1736.70 (82.70) and Exide (PAK).. share of 1096.55 (52.21).

The top three decliners were Indus Motor CoXD with price per share of. 1510.00 (-29.45), Abbott Lab..with price per share of 882.55 (-13.19) and AL-Ghazi TractorsXD per share of 630.00 (-12.62).
