KARACHI: Chairman, Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) Sohail Shamim Firpo has informed that PRBC is planning to send a high-powered delegation to Romania in May 2017 which will explore more opportunities of enhancing the bilateral trade between the two countries.
Sohail Firpo, accompanied by all the Directors of PRBC during his visit to Karachi Chamber, expressed his eagerness to utilize all available resources, make collective and all-out efforts to raise the existing trade volume between the two countries.
President KCCI Shamim Ahmed Firpo, Senior Vice President KCCI Asif Nisar, Vice President KCCI Muhammad Younus Soomro and KCCI Managing Committee members were also present, said KCCI release here on Thursday. Chairman PRBC pointed out that trade ties between Pakistan and Romania had been gradually improving, particularly after the formation of PRBC which was actively engaged in strengthening trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. The progress achieved so far was very encouraging.
He was of the view that Romania, being a member of European Union and having the 7th largest port of the world, offered immense opportunities particularly to those businessmen and industrialists who were keen to export their goods and services to European countries. Sohail Firpo mentioned that since its inception in 2010, PRBC had become a vibrant platform which provides complete trade facilitation to its member firms.
President KCCI Shamim Ahmed Firpo, in his welcome address, briefed the participants about the vibrant role being played by Karachi Chamber towards furthering trade ties with countries around the world and raising voice for creating an enabling environment for the business and industrial community.
He also assured to extend maximum possible discounts and incentives to the Romanian businessmen and industrialists who might be intending to participate in "My Karachi: Oasis of Harmony" exhibition scheduled to be held in April 2017.
