Chinese Navy Flotilla arrives to participate in bilateral exercise

imageKARACHI: Chinese Navy Flotilla including Ocean Salvage and Rescue Ship CHANGXINGDAO and PLA(N) Ship HANDAN arrived here on a goodwill visit to Pakistan.

The visiting Chinese platforms will take part in 4th PN-PLA(N) bilateral exercise encompassing Harbour and Sea phases, said a statement issued by ISPR on Wednesday.

The PLA (Navy) Task Group was extended warm welcome and traditional hospitality on arrival at Karachi. Senior officials of Pakistan Navy and Chinese consulate were also present on the occasion.

These exercises are expected to go a long way in promoting maritime security in the backdrop of operationalization of CPEC and Gwadar port, said that statement.
