ISLAMABAD: Renowned Economist Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig said on Wednesday that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be a milestone for Pakistan's economy.
While talking in PTV news programme he said owing to strong economic fundamentals achieved by Pakistan during last three years, international investors are keenly interested in exploring investment opportunities.
Dr Mirza said that China and Pakistan were determined to carry out the project successfully, adding that many countries like Afghanistan, Russia and Kazakhstan were also taking interest to invest in the project for their mutual interest.
"It will eliminate poverty and unemployment and bring the people up front into the mainstream of modern and developed countries", he concluded.
