imageKARACHI: The law and order in the metropolis has improved in the wake of the implementation of `Zarb-e-Azb' and the National Action Plan.

This was stated by the Wing Commander of 61 Metha Ram Hostel, Lt. Col. Shahid Ameer Khan.

He was talking to union committees' chairmen, vice-chairmen and councillors of District Municipal Corporation (DMC), Karachi South's Saddar Zone.

Chairman DMC South, Malik Muhammad Fayyaz, vice-chairman Mansoor Shaikh and Municipal Commissioner, Afaq Saeed, were also present on the occasion.

Col. Shahid said that as a result of operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan, the law and order situation has improved in the country and especially in Karachi which is the commercial and economic hub of Pakistan.

The confidence of the people on the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) has also been restored.

Col. Shahid said that the elected representatives can also play and effective role towards the maintenance of law and order.

He said that the Rangers would continue its cooperation with the elected representatives for the maintenance of law and order.

Chairman DMC South Malik Fayyaz said on the occasion that the role of Rangers in the restoration of law and order especially in Karachi was appreciable.

He said that we express our solidarity with the Pak Army and the LEAs in the fight against terrorists and militants.

Malik Fayyaz said that Rangers' contact with the elected representatives augurs well and help improve the law and order further.
