Muqam directs establishment of new utilities stores in FATA, KP
PESHAWAR: Adivsor to Prime Minister Engr. Ameer Muqam Tuesday directed Managing Director Utilities Stores to establish new outlets in FATA and far flung areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chairing a meeting with high ups of Utilities Stores at Islamabad, he also directed creation of new region for Shangla and Kohistan areas in one month.
He said that government is not oblivious of the problems faced by people residing in far flung areas of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding all out efforts have been made to facilitate masses in getting edible items of day-to-day use on affordable rates.
Taking notice of sugar shortage, he directed officials to ensure availability of the commodity in utilities stores on controlled rates.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of utilities stores in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Muqam said though utilities stores are meant to facilitate people in getting commodities of daily life on affordable prices yet we want to establish chain of utilities stores in all the remote areas of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting among others was attended by Managing Director Utilities Stores Wasim Mukhtar, Zonal Manager Peshawar Mehtab Banori and Zonal Manager Abbottabad Bakhtiar Khattak.
