BEIJING: The government of China is keen to implement the decisions taken during the recent visit of Premier Wen Jiabao to Pakistan and to promote Pakistan-China economic and trade relations.

This was stated by China's Assistant Minister for Commerce, Yu Jian Hua on Thursday while talking to Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Masood Khan, who called on him here.

Ambassador Masood Khan said that Pakistan and China have strong fraternal and strategic relations maintaining that it has been the desire of our two governments to make our economic relations commensurate with our political relations.

He lauded the government and people of China for providing generous relief support after last year's floods as well as signing of a number of trade and investment cooperation agreements during Premier Wen Jiabao's visit in December last year.

Mr. Yujian Hua said that China's top leadership has been very concerned about the devastation caused by the floods and desires to take steps for providing opportunities to Pakistan's industry through trade facilitation.

He mentioned that in 2011 there will be frequent exchange of delegations between Pakistan and China to implement the trade and investment projects identified last year in the Joint Economic Commission, Free Trade Commission and Economic Cooperation Group.
