PESHAWAR: The political administration in South Waziristan has completed various development projects which will help improve the living standards of the communities there.
The political administration has also constructed and rehabilitated various flood protection walls which aim to safeguard agricultural lands and houses from future flooding.
According to Directorate of Information, FATA Secretariat stated that a flood protection wall has been constructed and rehabilitated for the community of Shahoor Idar Kachai in Serwaikai Tehsil, South Waziristan.
It further added that the 152 meter long flood protection wall is benefiting approximately 4100 individuals.
It is worth mentioning that all the schemes are carried out by local contractors in coordination with political administration with the active participation of the local population, as these schemes were identified by local elders for the betterment of the area.
The political administration has called upon the inhabitants of South Waziristan to help maintain these projects and to extend their cooperation in implementing other projects in their areas as this will bring prosperity to all local tribes.
In response, the communities of the area thanked the government for responding positively to their dire needs.
