Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz-ul-Haq has admitted that there is a need for reviewing the country's controversial blasphemy law. In an interview with BBC, monitored here on Friday, Ijaz-ul-Haq said that the law had often been used for settling private scores sometimes even by Muslims against other Muslims.
It may be recalled that a seven-member delegation from UK led by archbishop of Canterbury Row had called on the Minister. During the course of meeting the minister had assured the Archbishop that the minorities have equal rights under the Constitution of the country.
