The Awards Office of the LUX Style Awards announced that voting for four fashion categories will take place on the 12th of September in Lahore and the 16th of September in Karachi. An independent board of members, totalling 33 and made up of individuals involved in the fashion field, will judge the portfolios of nominees in the concerned fashion categories.
The categories being judged are Best Fashion Photographer, Best Hair and Make-up Artist, Best Male Model and Best Female Model.
The voting members will be unaware of the category they will be judging till the time they enter the voting room to view the portfolios. The 33 members have been selected by the Board of Jurors, who short-listed the nominations in July. Each of the 11 jurors was asked to select three members. Some have been chosen for more than one fashion category. Listed in alphabetical order, the voting members for 2005 are:
Aaminah Haq, Ahsan Shami, Aisha Sana, Ali Khan, Aliya Mian, Asad-ul-Haq, Asim Raza, Ather Hafeez, Ather Zahoor, Ayesha Jaleel, Deepak Perwani, Iraj Manzoor, Kamiar Rokni, Maheen Khan, Meesha Shah, Mussarat Misbah, Nabila Maqsood, Nadya Malik, Raheel Rao, Rizwan Beyg, Samar Sheikh, Sanya Muneer, Saqib Malik, Seemi Pasha, Tehmina Khalid, Umar Sayeed, Yahsir Waheed, Zainab Qayyum.
The LUX Style Awards Fashion jury system is unique in that it is two tiered. In July the
Board of Jurors short-listed the nominations. Then all those nominated were asked to submit their portfolios. The Fashion Board of Members will view these portfolios in September. As in the past the voting will be observed and monitored by auditors A.F. Ferguson Associates.-PR
