MILAN: Egypt's state-run EGAS has tendered to buy eight liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes for delivery in September through December, trade sources said. The tender is less than the 16 cargoes traders initially expected EGAS to seek.
Market participants have said in recent weeks that Egypt was also looking at purchasing LNG via bilateral deals, not tenders, including through government-to-government deals via French, Russian and Chinese companies.
