15,035 dengue fever patients recover

LAHORE: As many as 15035 dengue fever patients have been recovered in the province, out of which 12961 belonged to Lahore. At present, 1422 patients are under treatment in various hospitals of Punjab, out of which 1199 patients are under treatment in different hospitals of Lahore. Free of cost treatment facilities are being provided to the patients in the government hospitals and there is no shortage of platelet kits in any hospital.

According to an official of Health department the total number of confirmed dengue patients in Punjab is 15235, while 13147 patients in Lahore and only one death has been reported during the last 24 hours. Similarly, 195 deaths due to dengue have been reported in the province, of which, 176 from Lahore. As many as 12 seminars were arranged in various towns of Lahore during the last 24 hours and 14600 pamphlets were distributed. Moreover, process of spray and fogging were completed in 16 union councils.
