DIGRI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has informed that the provincial government has prepared a Rabi Plan aimed to provide free of cost seeds and fertilizers to growers of rains and floods affected areas of the province so that they could be compensated for the losses which caused by rains in their farmlands.
Talking to media persons and delegations of different walks of life here at the residence of MPA Mir Hayat Talpur on Monday, the Chief Minister said that Rabi Plan would surely help the rains and flood affected growers to sow Rabi crops in time.
The directives in this direction have already been issued to departments concerned, he said and hoped that such efforts of the government would minimize the losses that faced by the growers of the province.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that directives have already been issued to authorities concerned to drain out standing rainwater from the farmlands so that the growers could reclaim their agriculture fields for Rabi crops.
He said that the President Asif Ali Zardari has issued directives to prepare future strategy with short, mid and long terms planning in order to avert such kind of natural disasters which experienced by the people of Sindh in respect of unprecedented floods and rainfalls for the last two years.
