ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Market Committee on Saturday issued price list of vegetables and fruits for Ramzan/Sasta Bazaars set up at Pakistan Town, Bhara Kahu and Tarlai areas.
According to a spokesman of the market, the rates of vegetables at the Ramzan/Sasta Bazaars of Islamabad are as under:
Potato per kilogram is Rs 28, Potato Store Rs 23, Onion Rs 24, Tomato Rs 33, Ginger Rs 80, Garlic desi Rs 164, Garlic (China) Rs 164, Lemon desi Rs 112, Lady Finger Rs 38, Pumpkin Rs 38, Brinjal Rs 27, Peas Rs 112, Farsh Bean Rs 76, Tanda Walaiti Rs 65, Tanda desi Rs 65, Cucumber Rs 25, Capsicum Rs 54/35, Green Chilli Rs 48, Cauliflower Rs 72/45, Cabbage Rs 34, Bitter gourd Rs 35, Green Zucchini Rs 32, Spinach Rs 32, Raddish Rs 34, Turnip Rs 48, Maroo Rs 47, Yam Rs 58, Carrot Rs 55, Chicken Rs 134 per kg and Egg per dozen Rs 72.
Likewise, he said that rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Sasta Bazaars are as follows: Apple Kala Kulo Rs 138/110, Apple White Rs 88/65, Apple Ambri Rs 82/55, Apple China Rs 195/170, Apple New Zealand Rs 245/210, Banana Pak Rs 125/85, Banana Ind Rs 160/130, Pear China Rs 158, Apricot Swat Rs 92/70, Apricot Kabli Rs 135/110, Melon desi Rs 28/18, White Melon Rs 22/14, Water Melon Rs 18/12, Peach Rs 110/80, Mango Sundhari Rs 115/90, Mango Maldeh Rs 60/45, Mango Almas Rs 55/40, Mango langra Rs 60/45, Mango Chusa White Rs 105/80, Mango Dosari Rs 72/50, Mango Desi Rs 55/40, Plum Rs 110/85, Garma Rs 56/35 and Mango Ratool Rs 128/110.
The spokesman has asked all the people to follow this list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any complaint against shopkeepers.
