Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussein on Thursday said the PML government would continue negotiations with political forces present inside the country to have consensus on all political issues.
Talking to newsmen here at the Punjab House at a dinner reception hosted by Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz, Chaudhry Shujaat said the government could consult political leaders present in the country on issues of national importance.
The Prime Minister emphasised the need that politicians should abide by their commitments and promises made during the political dialogues so that the democratic system could be further strengthened.
Replying to a question about the notification of new cabinet ministers and their portfolios, the Prime Minister said it would be issued on Friday.
Answering a question about expansion in the cabinet, the Prime Minister said it would be expanded when it is necessary.
The Prime Minister said the PML has decided that Shaukat Aziz will contest the election on two seats, one from Tharparkar and the other from Attock.
Shujaat said two MNAs - Arbab Zakaullah from NA-229 (Tharparkar) and Mrs Eman Waseem MNA from NA-59 (Attock) - have resigned to vacate seats for Shaukat Aziz and the Speaker has accepted their resignation and notification in this regard has been issued.
The reception was attended by National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain, Deputy Speaker Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob, Senate Deputy Chairman Commander Khalil, PML secretary-general Mushahid Hussain Syed, cabinet members, parliamentarians, senior officials and journalists.
