imageHYDERABAD: The special recovery teams of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) have disconnected four hundred connections, removed transformers of 10 tube wells and unearthed thousands of illegal connections during operation in different parts of the region.

The HESCO spokesman informed here on Friday that special recovery teams conducted operation in various areas of the region including Nawabshah, Qazi Ahmed, Sakrand, Saeedabad, Sanghar, Sehwan, Shahdadpur, Tando Allahyar and Tando Adam and cut off 400 connections on charge of non-payment of outstanding dues. Besides unearthing the illegal connections, the teams also burnt thousands metres of electric wires into ashes which used for illegal "Kunda" connections, the spokesman informed.

The special recovery teams also recovered an amount of Rs. 0.962 million from consumers in respect of outstanding dues, the spokesman claimed.
