National Testing Services (NTS) on Sunday conducted recruitment tests for a leading public sector company at a local hotel.
According to a senior executive of NTS Karachi office, more than 800 candidates appeared in the test in Karachi and about 2,000 countrywide at Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta.
He did not name the company, but said it is a public sector blue chip company listed on Karachi Stock Exchange.
Syed Tariq said NTS was a national organisation recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for conduction educational and recruitment tests.
He said NTS had held test for more than 11,370 candidates for HEC's overseas scholarships countrywide held on Sunday last.
NTS has been conducting admission tests for Comsats Institute of Information Technology, Virtual University, Bolan Medical College, Khuzdar University and recruitment test for other organisations.
He said NTS was the offshoot of Commission on Science and Technology for sustainable Development in South Asia (Comsats), but operating independently to hold transparent tests.
