Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind will chair the meeting of the Federal Poultry Board being held at Islamabad on March 16.
All stakeholders of poultry industry of Pakistan and officials concerned would attend the meeting.
According to informed sources, the meeting would discuss various issues pertaining to reduction in the rate of import of duty and exemption of sales tax on the import of feed ingredients and feed additives, exemption of poultry industry from whole of customs duty by providing the benefits of SRO 358(1) 2002.
Pakistan Poultry Association has already submitted various proposals to the board for providing relief to the poultry industry, which suffered losses of billions of rupees due to negative propaganda by some elements about bird flu attack on Pakistani poultry.
