Pakistan on Sunday admitted that a private businessman was detained along with about a dozen scientists and officials amid allegations that they sold atomic secrets to other countries through a nuclear underworld.
Pakistan military spokesman Major General Shaukat Sultan told AFP that businessman Aizaz Jaffari was being questioned.
"He (Jaffari) has been in custody ever since this probe started," Sultan said, declining to give more details.
"I can only confirm that he is in custody and being investigated," Sultan said.
