imageISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the federation to submit report over implementation of court orders in Lal Masjid commission case within four weeks.

The court sought report on its October 2, 2007 verdict. The bench comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan andJustice Qazi Faez Isa heard the Lal Masjid commission implementation case. During the course of proceedings, Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that the government in its stance had stated that court orders were implemented.

Advocate Tariq Asad told the court that the court order was not implemented. He said that the government paid compensation to the families of three passers who were killed during the operation. He said that the government did not pay single penny to the families of other people who were killed during the Lal Masjid operation. He asked whether other people not innocent.

Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan remarked that how would determine that who was innocent and who was a militant during the Lal Masjid operation. Justice Qazi Faez Isa asked Asad that according to him if all innocent people were killed during the operation then who killed the 11 military men during the operation. Whether they committed suicide, he asked.

Advocate Tariq Asad told the court that firing was occurring from three sides and the court's had already acquitted Maulana Abdul Aziz and other nominated persons over the matter. The court sought report and adjourned hearing of the case for four weeks.
