LONDON: Sterling fell to a one-year low versus the dollar on Thursday as investors dumped currencies perceived to be risky after the Federal Reserve warned about significant downside to the US economy and triggered broad risk aversion in financial markets.
The pound fell to $1.5326, its lowest level since September 2010 after triggering stops below $1.5400.
