It keeps getting better and better. Microsoft’s rumored ‘Surface Phone’ is becoming reality day by day. The phone being developed by Microsoft is termed as one which will take the throne from Apple.
These rumors seem to be confirmed by Microsoft’s Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossela. In a podcast of Windows Weekly said, “The Microsoft Surface Pro tablet line succeeded by merging the laptop and tablet into one device, providing the best of both worlds. Now, it needs to build something with that kind of killer approach to productivity, just on the phone side. We need some sort of spiritual equivalent on the phone side, that doesn't just feel like a phone for people who love Windows."
Regarding the features of Surface Phone, speculations are still floating about. If rumors are true then the phone will have a 5.5 inch screen and a 21 mega-pixel rear camera with 8 mega-pixel camera in front. However it will be the Continuum feature that will be crowd puller. The feature which allows users, especially Windows user, to use their phone as computer, links the phone to TV or monitor for use as PC.
However, CMO Chris rejected the notion that the phone will be competing Apple. “To do something that I really think would compete," Capossela says, "we need time to actually go build that. I think we have to do more breakthrough work to make Apple fans pause before they buy their 17th iPhone."
