After its images were leaked, it looks like Samsung is revealing S7 earlier than expected. China mobile, the world’s largest telecommunication company, revealed that Galaxy S7 will be available sooner than expected that is in February.
The new Galaxy is expected to create ripples in the phone industry, especially after a hard time borne by Samsung Galaxy S6. It further indicates that S7 launch will be a boon to S6’s troubled reign. Forbes reported that Samsung also looks set to be stockpiling for the February 2016 launch with no less than three different Galaxy S7 designs. Whether this inspires customers or creates confusion remains to be seen. Especially if the Galaxy S7 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 6 further complicate things later in the year. Similarly a February launch of the Galaxy S7 would give it a 7 month head start over the expected September release of the radical iPhone 7.
Samsung’s S7 launch in February would mean that S6 only had a 10 month life cycle. However with patent wars and constant pressure from Apple, Samsung is looking to turn the tables around with S7. The phone’s leaked photos shows it to be a force to reckon with but its features are yet to be revealed.
S7’s expected date for launch lies between February 22 and 25.
