MILAN: Italian stocks showed a drop of 4.45 percent in mid-afternoon trading on Monday amid renewed concern about weak growth in the global economy and the eurozone debt crisis, traders said.
The leading FTSE Mib index stood at 14.391 points. Leading European stock markets were down by about 4.0 percent, and bank shares were particularly hard hit.
