imageLAHORE: Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Muhammad Siddiqal Farooq Saturday said Sikh delegates had showed keen interest for investment in the housing and agriculture sectors.

Speaking at a press conference here, he said the ETPB would consider to provide land to the Sikh investors as per its laws.

Pardhan Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Shahm Singh, Secretary Board Ikarmul Haq and Additional Secretary Shrines Khalid Ali were also present.

He said unprecedented number of Sikh pilgrims were visiting Pakistan in the current year, who had appreciated the ETPB for making the best arrangements for their stay here in Pakistan.

He said Shrumany Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Bharat had offered to construct and decorate rooms in gurdwaras to serve the community which was under consideration.

He said the construction of rooms and renovation of sacred places and renovation of gurdwaras were in progress in an effctive way.

Siddiqal Farooq said a sum of Rs 200 million was being spent for renovation of Gurdwara Punja Sahib, Rs 300 million for Nankana Sahib and Rs 10 million for Kartarpur Narowal, while Rs 200 million was being spent on 'Smadhi' of Maharaja Ranjeet Sing.

He said the projects would be completed at the earliest.
