GALLE: Play resumed on the fourth morning of the first Test between Australia against Sri Lanka in Galle on Saturday after an hour's interruption due to rain.
Sri Lanka, set an improbable target of 379 to win on a crumbling wicket, added six runs to their overnight score of 120-5 when heavy rain drove the players back into the pavilion.
Mahela Jayawardene was unbeaten on 58 and Angelo Mathews was on 37, the pair having put on 58 for the sixth wicket when the weather intervened.
