Police, Rangers should be given powers for operation in Karachi: Sarman
ISLAMABAD: Political analyst Marvi Sarman said on Wednesday that powers should be given to police and Rangers for strong surgical operation at massive level against weaponization in Karachi.
Talking to PTV, she said the issue of Karachi is political and its political solution should be sorted out.
She said calling the army in Karachi is not a solution of the issue.
She said that the Rangers and police should have powers to take any action against crimninals adding that the peace in Karachi is in the interest of the country and international community as it is an economic hub and port city of the country.
She asked the government to call All Parties Conference on the issue of Karachi and convince all stakeholders to deweaponize themselves.
