Pakistani artist to perform for Pakistan Flood Relief

LONDON: Pakistan music megastar Raja Kaasheff has joined the line-up for a classical music concert fundraising for the Pakistan flood relief work of Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) here on February 12.

The singing sensation will join renowned French pianist Emmanuel Despax, captivating Cypriot violinist Victoria Mavromoustaki, rising star British conductor Andrew Gourlay, and 80 top classical orchestral musicians from London for a one-off concert at London's Cadogan Hall on Saturday.

London-based  Kaasheff, speaking of his involvement said: I'm proud to be helping Adhoc Humanitarians Orchestra with their work to raise money for flood relief in Pakistan. I hope to help make this event an exciting mix of east and west, promoting Pakistani culture alongside some of the finest western classical music ,inspiring the audience to give as much as possible to flood-hit communities in my beloved homeland".

Ellie Merton, concert organiser and founder of Adhoc Humanitarians Orchestra, added: "Everyone has worked night and day to make the evening a fantastic success for the sake of all those suffering from the floods in Pakistan. I hope we raise over 30,000 pounds for MSF's vital work. Every penny raised from the concert will go directly to MSF's work in Pakistan".
