BEIJING: The US dollar is likely to weaken over the long-term, although it may rebound in the short run, Xia Bin, an academic adviser to the central bank said on Tuesday, reiterating his long-held view.
Fears of another US recession and the ultra-loose monetary policy in the United States has put pressure on the dollar to weaken against major currencies as well as the Chinese yuan.
