SHEIKHUPURA: A lawyer on Wednesday locked additional district and sessions judge Khyzer Hayat Gondal in the courtroom over bail issue of an accused.
According to official sources, a counsel of plaintiff Atiq Shah advocate appeared before the court of AD&SJ Khyzer Hayat Gondal in a case No. 1108/14, under section 406 PPC registered with the B-Division police station. Atiq Shah advocate flared after the AD&SJ accepted the bail application of an accused Zainul Abaideen and he locked the judge in the courtroom.
On information, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Manzoor Malik accompanied by LHC justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Tariq Khosa visited Sheikhupura and sought a detailed report from District and Sessions Judge Sheikhupura Uzma Chughtai into the incident.
A committee headed by district bar Sheikhupura Khalid Rashid Malik has been constituted which will present its report soon.
