PARIS: Europe's main stock markets closed mostly up Wednesday after spending part of the day in negative territory.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index ended the day up 0.17 percent at 7,007.260 points compared to Tuesday's close, awaiting clues from the US about the timing of rate increases.
The CAC 40 in Paris rose 0.31 percent to 5,133.30 points, while the DAX 30 in Frankfurt ended marginally down, 0.04 percent lower at 11,848.47 points.
