Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha feels that Deepika Padukone’s ‘My Choice’ video has come up with good intension but she somehow doesn’t agree much to it.
In a recent interview to an Indian media ‘Dabbang’ actress said, “Women empowerment is not always about the kind of clothes you wear, not about who you want to have sex with or stuff like that. It's about employment, strength”.
“It's a very good initiative. It's coming from a good space, but honestly I believe empowerment should be given to the women who actually need it, who are kind of far away from where we are right now. We have been bred and brought up with luxury,” she added.
‘Vogue Empowerment’ video featuring Deepika Padukone along with 98 other women is facing a backlash from every corner, due to the hard-hitting lines used in it. Deepika Padukone’s two-minute-34-second video has gone viral online but opinions are divided with some calling it ‘truly empowering’ while others terming it hypocritical and elitist.
