Yousaf_raza_gilaniISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said that the government is working on war footings to overcome the unscheduled electricity loadshedding in the country.

He said that all relevant ministries had been directed to resolve the issue of circular debt expeditiously which would help

reduce the loadshedding to a great extent.

The Prime Minister was talking to the Deputy Chairman Senate and Members of the Parliament who called on him here at the PM House.

The Prime Minister said that the High-Powered Committee constituted by him would soon submit its recommendations to address the agonizing loadshedding in the country.

He said that the government was taking measures to accelerate the pace of development in the country. The development funds were being released to all the parliamentarians to complete the projects, which were people's welfare oriented.

The Prime Minister urged the parliamentarians to focus on the timely completion of ongoing development projects for the benefit of the people at the grass-root level.

The parliamentarians apprised the Prime Minister about various development schemes of their respective constituencies.

Those who met the Prime Minister included Deputy Chairman Senate Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali, Senator Sughra Imam and MNAs Nazar M. Gondal, Javed Iqbal Warraich, Ms. Ghulam Bibi Bharwana and Ms. Palwasha Behram.
