Philippines' Aquino supports diversifying FX reserves

MANILA: Philippine President Benigno Aquino said on Tuesday he supported moves to diversify the country's foreign reserves to currencies other than the US dollar.

"We are revisiting whether or not, the Bangko Sentral also will be checking our reserves, the question is how much of it will still be dollar based as opposed to the broader basket of currencies," Aquino told reporters.
