Green Shirts ruled over the ground against England in warm-up match on Wednesday. The Pakistan team seems to be more confident after achieving the victories against Bangladesh and England.
Pakistan team coach Waqar Younis sounded satisfied during his press conference after Pakistan beats England in the second warm-up match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. According to Waqar Younis, the victory over England and Bangladesh gave a positive momentum while facing arch-rivals India in Adelaide on February 15.
He said, “India has always been a tough opponent, we are not going take it easy. We will wake up that morning in a positive frame of mind and try to give our best,’ media reported.
According to Waqar Younis these victories will help to boost Pakistan team confidence throughout the World Cup, especially into India clash but he advised them to be much focused. “Look, these are just warm-up games and one must not derive conclusions from here. But we must take positives from the win. We bowled really well and we fielded well too,” he added
“Things are turning around well. I am hopeful these two victories will bring us the momentum we need and will go a long way in the Cup,” he further said.
Waqar Younis called Yasir Shah ‘a match winner’. Yasir Shah is one of the versatile players, he can field well and bat too. However we cannot neglect the match winning innings of Misbah-ul-Haq.
