ISLAMABAD: Former Inspector General Sindh police Afzal Shigri said on Friday that maintenance of law and order in Karachi is possible by use of political and administrative measures.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, Shigri said political leaders should not allow the criminal elements to create space in their parties. He said that Karachi is a mega city with huge population.
The administrative structure to run such a huge urban sector requires specialized administration with extraordinary resources, he added.
