ISLAMABAD: Secretary General Wafaqul Madaris Al- Arabia Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari Tuesday said terrorists have no religion and sect, stressing the need for indiscriminate action against all forms of terrorism.
Talking to PTV, Jalandhari said terrorism was condemnable in its all forms and manifestations whether it was carried out on the basis of linguism, regionalism or ethnicism.
Replying to a question, he agreed to bring reforms in Madaris (religious seminaries) but sought further 'definition' of madrassa reforms under the national action plan against terrorism.
He said religious and modern education was being imparted to students simultanously upto Matric level at the Madaris aimed at making the younger generation useful citizens.
Jalandhari also underlined the need for overall reforms in education sector across the board so that uniformed syllabus could be taught to students.
To another question, he said the Wafaqul Madaris has no objection over registration of Madaris and audit of their funds and accounts to streamline the matters related to seminaries.
