HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares tumbled 1.90 percent on Wednesday morning because of fresh fears over the global economy and European sovereign debt.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index shed 425.71 points to end the session at 21,995.75 on turnover of HK$40.18 billion ($5.15 billion).
