'Sasta Atta' programme launch from Ramazan Bazaars

RAWALPINDI: The citizens would be supplied 'Sasta Atta' at 'Ramazan Bazaars' to be established to provide relief to the consumers.

The office bearers of Flour Mills Association have assured District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rawalpindi Saqib Zafar that 'Sasta Atta' would be provided to the consumers with adequate supply for 'Sasta Ramzan Bazaars.'

This assurance was given in a meeting held here which was chaired by the DCO. District Food Controller (DFC) Shabbir Khan Niazi, Vice Chairman, Flour Mills Association Khawaja Muhammad Riaz, Member Flour Mills Association and flour mills owners Haji Muhmmad Javed and Sh. Muhammad Saeed were also present in the meeting.

DFC Shabbir Khan Niazi informed the meeting that flour bag of 10 kg would be available in all 'Sasta Ramzan Bazaars' at the rate of Rs210 per bag, Rs 10 below to open market rate. Similarly, 20 kg flour bag would be supplied at Rs415 in 'Sasta Ramzan Bazaars', Rs25 less to the open market price.

Strict monitoring would be carried out for continuous supply of 'Sasta Atta' which would be done by the teams of Food department, he added.

There would be no compromise on quality of 'Sasta Atta', the DCO said adding, special Health department teams had been given the task to check quality of flour. Lab tests would also be conducted in this regard, he informed.

The office bearers of flour mills association on this occasion assured the DCO that the supply of 'Sasta Atta' would be ensured by the flour mills management throughout the holy month of Ramzan and continuous supply of 'Sasta Atta' would be carried out.
