LONDON: European Union nations sold 2.918 million spot EU carbon permits on EEX at 6.77 euros per tonne each on Tuesday, the German energy exchange said.
The benchmark EU carbon futures contract was 0.08 euros higher at 6.88 euros a tonne just before the auction closed at 1000 GMT.
