Eight shopkeepers fined on overcharging

FAISALABAD: As many as eight shopkeepers, selling LPG were fined of Rs 36,000 on overcharging from consumers in city.

Special price control magistrate Riaz Hussain Anjum during checking found eight shopkeepers overcharging from consumers and imposed fine on them.

The shopkeepers included: Rashid Ali was fined of Rs 10,000, Sufian Rs 4000, Nazim and Bilal Rs 3000 each, Abdul Khaliq Rs 1000 while Amjad, Fareed and Hassan were fined of Rs 5000 each.

Meanwhile, 23 vehicles were ticketed and four others were impounded in police stations on overcharging from passengers.
