Forex reserves all time high

KARACHI: The foreign exchange reserves of the country have surged to record historic high of dollars 18.301 billion, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said here on Thursday.
"The increase of forex reserve has been around 67.3 million dollars due to remittances from overseas Pakistanis," an official of the SBP said.
The reserves had dollars 18.235 billion the previous week.
The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $ 18,303.1 million on 23rd July.
Break-up of the foreign reserves position showed that reserves held by the SBP were dollars 14,743.3 million and that held by others were dollars 3,559.8 million.
