KIEV: Ukraine's farms harvested 26.3 million tonnes of grain as of July 26 and the grain yield averaged 2.94 tonne per hectare, the Agriculture Ministry said on Wednesday.
Farmers have threshed 8.93 million hectares or 78 percent of the sown area of early grains.
The ministry said in a report the harvested volume included 7.12 million tonnes of barley with average yield of 2.47 tonne and 18.5 million of wheat with yield of 3.27 tonne per hectare.
Grain yield averaged 2.42 tonne per hectare at the same date in 2010.Ukraine plans to harvest about 45 million tonnes of grain in 2011 against 39.2 million in 2010.
