President performs Umrah

zardariMAKKAH: President Asif Ali Zardari and members of his delegation performed Umrah and visited the Rooza-e-Rasool (PBUH) to pay his respects.

The President prayed for peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah.

President Zardari and his delegation performed Umrah early Thursday morning. They were received by Grand Sheikh of the Haram at Makkah.

The President later went to Madina Munawarrah and was received by the Governor, Prince Abdul Aziz ibn Majid, before paying his respects at the Rooza-e-Rasool (PBUH).

He offered Nawafil at the Masjid-e-Nabavi and recited from the Holy Quran.

The President, who is on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, held substantial talks with King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz on Wednesday. He will leave for Pakistan later in the day.
