bajourPESHAWAR: The Government has decided to construct Bajauro-Barikot to open up inaccessible areas of Dir Lower district for investment and tourism, said Provincial Minister for Technical Education, Mehmodzaib Khan on Wednesday. Addressing a public meeting of PPP workers at Talash in Lower Dir, the Minister said that mega project would be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs10 million.

He said the government accorded priority to communication, education and health sectors and construction of Bajauro-Barikot Road would facilitate farmers and growers to send their products to the major cities in order to earn better livelihoods.

The Minister said the government was focusing on rebuilding of floods and militancy hit infrastructure and vocational institutes. He said that new commerce colleges and schools besides technical colleges are being constructed in Khyber Pakthunkhwa to prepare technical manpower to meet the country's industry and abroad demands.

Former district Nazim Lower Dir, Ahmed Hassan Khan said that PPP is symbol of federation and record developments projects were initiated and completed during last three years in Dir districts. He said Dir district is ideal for tourism and underlined the need for developing Komrhat as tourists' resort.
