Concrete steps taken to control law, order: Wassan

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan on Wednesday said that the provincial government had taken concrete steps to cotrol law and order situation in Karachi and other parts of the province.

"There is no short cut but we are taking steps in collaboration with police and Rangers to protect the life and property of the masses in the province," he said while talking to media persons on arrival at the Jinnah International Airport from Sukkur.

Responding to the situation in Lyari area, the Minister said that it had been brought under control and much more positive improvement would be seen in the area in this regard.

Regarding the security to operational units of KESC, he said that the police and Rangers have held several meetings and hoped that the situation would be brought under control soon.
