ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will announce its monetary policy on July 30 for the subsequent two months, Syed Wasimuddin, chief spokesman for the SBP said on Wednesday.
"The acting governor Yaseen Anwar will announce the monetary policy through a press conference in Karachi," said Wasimuddin.
Anwar, who is the deputy governor for the State Bank of Pakistan, took over as acting governor on Tuesday, after Shahid Kardar resigned last week from his post "due to "differences of opinion on policy actions."
In the last monetary policy review in May, the central bank kept its key policy rate unchanged at 14 percent.
