Govt taking keen interest in development of Balochistan
ISLAMABAD: The government is taking keen interest in the development of Balochistan and for this purpose, more steps are being taken to address the problems being faced by the people of these areas.
This was stated by Provincial Minister Ghazala Gola while talking to Pakistan Television on Tuesday.
"The masses of Balochistan are very thankful to the President, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet members for taking keen interest in the socio-economic uplift of the neglected part of the region, " she said.
"We hope that now many problems of the people of Balochistan will resolved amicably, " she said.
The minister said all the provinces including Balochistan had desired to achieve provincial autonomy. Due rights of these areas in the shape of NFC award were now granted to the people.
Appreciating the efforts of government, she said "it is first time in the history of country that a meeting of the Federal Cabinst is being held in Balochistan on Wednesday."
"Surely, the Cabinet will address the genuine grievances of the general public of the province, " she said.
She said during the upcoming session, several matters and important national issues would be discussed including law and order, mega projects, resources and utilization, besides NFC award.
Replying to a question, the provincial minister said that demands like proper use of natural resources and transferring benefits to the people of the area, besides matter of provincial autonomy, with the package of "Aaghaz e Haqooqe Balochistan" had been fulfilled.
