Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI: Two ships arrived at the Port on Friday, at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro-Vopak Terminal Limited (EVTL), Port sources said here Saturday.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 45pc at the Port on Friday where a total of six ships namely M.V. TAMIL NADU, M.V. GLORY, M.T. KASSOS, M.T. GAS SULWASI, M.V. SIMA SAPPHIRE are currently occupying berths to load/ offload wheat, containers, furnace oil, palm oil and LPG for the last 24 hours.
Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume of 87705 tonnes, comprising 66414 tonnes imports and 21291 tonnes exports and containers (TUEs) 1648 was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
M.T. KASSOS sailed on Saturday morning, M.T GAS SULWASl and M.V GLORY also sailed out on Saturday morning.
M.T Chrisopigi Lady at FOTCO, M.T SC Summer at LCT, M.V NYK KAI at QICT and M.T SEENA at EVTL, M.V TOOPAZ 2 were expected to take berth on Saturday.
